Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, has confirmed that two Pakistani nationals were killed in Iranian missile strikes in the United Arab Emirates.

In a statement today, Sunday, March 7, he said he is deeply saddened by their deaths and extended his heartfelt condolences to their families.

Sharif added that Pakistan’s diplomatic mission is in close contact with authorities in Dubai to arrange the return of the bodies.

According to Geo News, a Pakistani driver was killed yesterday in Dubai’s Al Barsha area after missile debris struck his vehicle.

The outlet also reported that another Pakistani citizen had earlier been killed in Abu Dhabi by falling missile debris.

Since the war with the U.S. and Israel began, Iran has launched repeated strikes on cities in the United Arab Emirates.

Iranian officials say they’re targeting U.S. bases and facilities in the region.
