The Ministry of Public Health has announced the achievements of Afghanistan’s National Influenza Laboratory in an international External Quality Assessment Program (EQAP).
According to the ministry, the laboratory has received an excellent rating in precise international evaluations—a success that officials say demonstrates the improvement of diagnostic quality and the alignment of the country’s health system with global standards.
This department, part of the Ministry of Public Health’s central laboratories, has once again performed successfully in international assessments and secured a top position in the External Quality Assessment Program.
Health officials state that this achievement indicates that laboratory diagnoses within the country are conducted with high accuracy and in accordance with World Health Organization (WHO) standards.
According to the information provided, international evaluations for the National Influenza Laboratory began in 2009, and regaining this top position reflects the consistency in quality and the enhancement of laboratory capacities in Afghanistan.
