The Afghanistan united front, led by General Sami Sadat, has called on citizens to stay away from military facilities and gatherings where Taliban members are present.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, the group also urged families to withdraw their children from the Taliban’s ranks and to avoid approaching military facilities and gatherings affiliated with the group.
The statement emphasized: “Do not approach military facilities or any kind of gathering where the Taliban are present.”
At the end of the message, General Sami Sadat said that “freedom is near,” but the statement provided no further details about what the United Front meant by the remark.
The call comes as the Taliban has maintained control over the entire country since returning to power in August 2021.
As of the publication of this report, Taliban officials had not issued an official response to the statements or the appeal by the Afghanistan United Front.
