Ehsanullah Ehsan, Head of Public Relations at the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), says that the ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran, as well as the recent unrest in the Middle East, have had no negative impact on trade relations between Afghanistan and Iran.
According to Ehsan, exports and imports between the two countries continue without disruption. While regional developments have affected trade in some countries, commercial ties between Kabul and Tehran have remained stable and unaffected.
He added that Afghanistan exports a range of domestic products to Iran, including precious and semi-precious gemstones, saffron, fresh and dried fruits, and other industrial goods.
Ehsan also stated that the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, in coordination with the relevant authorities, is working to provide greater support and facilitation for Afghan traders, while creating more favorable opportunities to promote domestic production and expand trade.
