Local sources in Khost Province report that a former security force member has been killed under mysterious circumstances. According to the sources, the victim had been working as a cook at a private television station following the recent political changes and has now died in what is being described as a suspicious incident.
According to local sources, the victim, identified as Imranullah, died on Monday, 29 June, under unclear circumstances. So far, no official details have been released regarding the time, location, or circumstances of his death.
A local source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Imranullah was allegedly killed by his friends. However, this claim has not been verified by the relevant authorities, and no further information has emerged about the suspected perpetrators.
Available information indicates that Imranullah previously served as a border police officer in Paktika Province under the former Afghan government. Following the political transition and the collapse of the Islamic Republic, he began working as a cook at the private Gharghasht Television station.
The motive behind the killing remains unclear. Local authorities have not issued an official statement on the incident, and it is also unknown whether a formal investigation has been launched.
