The Freedom Front has claimed that it carried out an attack on the police headquarters of Chah Ab district in Takhar province, resulting in heavy casualties and financial losses for the Taliban.
According to a statement issued by the group on Monday (July 8), the attack took place on Sunday night (July 7), during which the district police headquarters in Chah Ab was targeted by its fighters.
The Freedom Front says its fighters first fired several rockets at Taliban checkpoints and then continued the assault using light weapons. The group states that the clashes lasted for about half an hour, after which the attackers withdrew from the area.
According to its claim, the operation caused significant casualties and material damage to the Taliban, and at least three bodies were reportedly seen at the scene. However, it did not provide exact figures for the killed or wounded.
So far, the Taliban have not issued an official response to these claims, and independent sources have not been able to verify them.
