For the tenth consecutive night, the United States and Iran have announced that they carried out fresh attacks against each other’s military positions. At the same time, both sides issued statements outlining details of their targets and the outcomes of their operations.
In a statement, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that early Tuesday morning, 30 Saratan, it had targeted Iran’s military command centers, naval capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and air defense systems. As in previous days, CENTCOM stated that the strikes were conducted with the aim of “weakening Iran’s ability to attack commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.”
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Republic Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also reported carrying out attacks against U.S. military positions in Kuwait and Bahrain. In a statement, the Iranian military said that, as part of the ongoing “Sa’eqeh” operation, it had targeted Camp Arifjan, Camp Adairi, and Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait.
According to the Iranian military’s statement, administrative buildings and signal interception antennas at Camp Arifjan, Apache, Chinook, and Black Hawk helicopter facilities at Camp Adairi, and U.S. troop positions and logistical centers at Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base were among the targets. The statement did not provide further details regarding the extent of damage or any possible casualties.
The IRGC also announced that, during the 24th wave of its “Nasr 2” operation, it had targeted U.S. radar infrastructure and air defense systems at various locations across the region. The IRGC’s Aerospace Force further claimed that early morning strikes had targeted sites in Al-Riffa and Muharraq, Bahrain.
The IRGC went on to claim that the operation was designed to “clear the path for a broader offensive” and that, during the attacks, an air defense system and a radar facility in Muharraq, Bahrain, were completely destroyed and taken out of service.
In a statement published by Iran’s state news agency IRNA, the IRGC also claimed that a U.S.-deployed Patriot air defense system in Al-Riffa, Bahrain, had been targeted and destroyed during a coordinated missile and drone attack.
So far, U.S. officials and the governments of Kuwait and Bahrain have not issued any official responses to the claims made by the Iranian military and the IRGC. The allegations have not been independently verified.
