Kabul Municipality has announced the appointment of Mawlavi Mohammad Khalid as the new Technical Deputy Director of the city’s Cleaning Department.
According to Kabul Municipality, his appointment is expected to strengthen efforts to improve the management and quality of urban cleanliness and sanitation services.
However, some Kabul residents have criticized the municipality, saying that they are charged sanitation fees while the cleaning services provided in return do not meet their expectations. They have called for greater practical attention to waste collection and sanitation operations across the city.
