Taliban Minister of Higher Education Neda Mohammad Nadim has said that the foundation of all progress in Afghanistan is the Taliban’s current “Sharia-based system and policies,” and he emphasized obedience and the implementation of the Taliban leader’s decrees to strengthen this system.
Nadim made the remarks during his visit to Paktia Province at a one-day seminar organized by the provincial education department for teachers. He said that the presence of a “Sharia emir” is obligatory and a “divine blessing,” and described obedience to him as necessary in all matters. He added that the responsibilities of the Sharia emir are significant and that all officials of the Islamic system must be sincere and devoted.
The Taliban’s Minister of Higher Education urged teachers to learn and implement the decrees and directives of the Taliban leader. He also stressed the enforcement of the law on “the promotion of virtue and prevention of vice,” claiming that success in this world and the hereafter depends on the proper implementation of Islamic and Sharia-based policies.
Meanwhile, Taliban leader Hibatullah Akhundzada has discussed the consolidation and strengthening of the “Islamic system” during a meeting in Kandahar with a number of religious scholars and tribal elders from the city and districts.
According to a statement issued by the Taliban spokesperson, Akhundzada instructed religious scholars to fully cooperate with the Taliban administration, discourage people from “meaningless activities,” pay attention to the education and upbringing of students, and convey the Taliban’s decrees and laws to the public while explaining their importance.
