The local administration of Dera Ismail Khan district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has imposed a daily movement restriction due to security concerns, announcing that travel on several major roads will be limited starting Tuesday (21 Saratan).
According to an announcement by Hikmatullah, the Deputy Commissioner, the restriction will be enforced daily from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During this period, the movement of passenger and freight vehicles, motorcycles, and the general public will be prohibited.
Officials said that only ambulances, firefighting services, and other emergency services will be exempt from the restrictions. Individuals and vehicles that have obtained prior permission from the police or security forces will also be allowed to move.
The Deputy Commissioner has urged residents to avoid unnecessary travel, follow security guidelines, and plan their journeys in advance to prevent potential difficulties.
