Sources report that Roya Mohammadi, a women’s rights activist in Herat, also known as “Roya Herati,” was arrested by the Taliban on Sunday morning.
According to sources, following her arrest, Roya Mohammadi was transferred to an undisclosed location. Her whereabouts and current condition remain unknown, and no reliable information has yet emerged regarding her place of detention or well-being.
Sources further stated that Mohammadi had previously been detained by the Taliban and was instructed to cease her activities in support of women’s rights.
Roya Mohammadi has been a women’s rights activist in Herat and has worked in support of women’s rights in recent years.
As of now, no further details have been released regarding the exact reason for her arrest, her place of detention, or her current condition.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the reported arrest of Roya Mohammadi or her whereabouts.
