Taliban: Necessary measures have been decided to bring Al-Shifa hospital into operation.

A meeting chaired by Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Taliban’s Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, was held with the leadership of Al-Shifa Hospital (Jamhuriat Hospital) to discuss accelerating construction work, procuring medical equipment, and recruiting specialist doctors.

Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson for the Taliban government, said that the meeting included a report on the work and activities carried out at the hospital, as well as an assessment of the progress and acceleration of its construction.

According to Fitrat, the provision, installation, and activation of an oxygen plant were also discussed, along with the procurement and provision of medical equipment.

Fitrat added that the recruitment of doctors and specialists, as well as the provision of training opportunities for them, were also discussed comprehensively.

According to the Taliban government’s deputy spokesperson, the meeting concluded with a decision to take the necessary measures to accelerate the hospital’s operations, bring it into service as soon as possible, and make it operational for public use.
