The Taliban’s National Standards and Quality Authority has stated that it has signed a contract worth over 46 million dollars with the Indian international company “TCRC” to build and equip advanced laboratory complexes in the country’s center and nine ports.
According to the authority, this five-year contract focuses on the construction and equipping of standard laboratories for testing the quality of building materials, electrical equipment, textiles, leather, and paper.
At the contract signing ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, was also present.
Officials have stated that under this project, in addition to the laboratories, the professional capacity of staff will be enhanced, and the process of obtaining international ISO certifications will also be practically implemented.
