The Taliban’s ministry of urban development and housing says that the detailed plan for the Asqalan migrant township in Kunduz province has been signed.

According to the ministry, the township has been planned on 3,294 jeribs of land. In addition to 2,598 residential plots, designated areas have also been allocated for public, service, administrative, and social facilities.

The ministry says that, under the plan, the township’s land will be utilized in an organized manner, residential areas will be developed according to established standards, and the necessary infrastructure and facilities will be provided to deliver urban services.

The Taliban’s ministry of urban development and housing further states that implementation of the plan will help provide migrants and returnees with an organized and standard residential environment in accordance with urban planning principles.
