The Taliban opposition group known as the “United Front” has claimed that its forces carried out an attack last night on a Taliban outpost in Al-Farooq District of Ghor Province.
According to the group, at least two Taliban members were killed and four others wounded in the operation.
The United Front further claimed that the Taliban outpost was completely overrun during the clash, and that its forces seized a number of Taliban weapons and military equipment.
The group also released a video of the operation on X, which it claimed showed the captured weapons and a radio communication device.
The Taliban have so far made no comment on the attack or the United Front’s claims.
In recent days, two armed Taliban opposition groups the United Front and the Freedom Front have claimed an increase in their attacks across Afghanistan.
