U.S. President Donald Trump has faced criticism from some fans of Dolly Parton, the renowned singer and American music icon, after sharing an AI-generated image of himself alongside the late artist.
Trump posted the image on his social media platform, Truth Social. The image depicts Trump and Dolly Parton standing together on the White House grounds.
The image is not authentic and was created using artificial intelligence.
Its publication on social media prompted negative reactions from some users and Parton’s fans. Some critics condemned Trump for using the artist’s likeness in such content.
The controversy comes shortly after Dolly Parton’s death, with her funeral reportedly held in private.
The circulation of AI-generated images and content featuring public figures, particularly following their deaths, has in recent years become a contentious issue on social media.
