Wahid Omar, former advisor to President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, has made new remarks regarding a photo taken from the president’s personal library about three months before the fall of the republic.
He stated that after Mohammad Ashraf Ghani left the country, various discussions and criticisms about him have emerged in different parts of the world, but based on his own observations, he holds a different view.
Wahid Omar added that, in his opinion, Ghani was an educated and thoughtful individual who had a clear and practical plan for Afghanistan. According to him, although events later unfolded in a way that led to the collapse of the government, this was due to a complex combination of internal and external factors.
He emphasized that there is no room for doubt regarding Ghani’s intentions and efforts and expressed hope that one day, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani will have the opportunity to fully share his story and narrative with the people.
