Pakistani authorities have announced that following several separate clashes between police forces and armed individuals in Punjab province, 9 suspects were killed and 2 police officers were injured. These incidents occurred in the cities of Lahore, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, and Bahawalpur.
According to the police report, 6 suspects were killed in several separate operations in Lahore. Authorities stated that these individuals died during a raid by the Crime Control Department and a firefight with security forces. In one of these incidents, 2 police officers were also injured.
The police also announced that some of the suspects were shot and killed by their own accomplices while being transferred. Further details about this incident have not yet been released.
In Sahiwal, 2 suspects who had previously escaped from custody were killed after being chased and engaging in a confrontation with police forces. Authorities stated that 2 of their accomplices managed to escape.
In a separate incident near Faisalabad, a man accused of drug trafficking was killed during a confrontation with security forces. The police mentioned that he was also wanted in several criminal cases.
Meanwhile, in Bahawalpur, a suspect involved in robbery was injured and arrested during a clash with the police. Authorities mentioned that 3 of his accomplices fled the scene.
Pakistani police emphasized that investigations into all these incidents are ongoing, and operations to capture the fleeing individuals are still underway.
