A Teacher has been killed in Dolina district by armed men.
According to sources, the victim was named Shahbaz Khan and was killed earlier today, Tuesday, 20 Asad, in the Khara Sang area of Dolina District.
Sources say Shahbaz Khan was the brother of Hashim Faizi, a former member of the Ghor Provincial Council.
According to sources, Shahbaz Khan had also served with the local uprising forces during the former Afghan Republic. Following the fall of the republic, he worked as a teacher at the Khara Sang Girls’ School.
One source said that at around 9:00 a.m., two men arrived on a motorcycle and identified themselves as members of the intelligence service.
According to the source, after inspecting the school, the two men opened fire on Shahbaz Khan near the school as they were leaving, and then fled the area.
The motive for the killing and the identities of those responsible remain unknown. Sources say Shahbaz Khan had no known disputes or enemies.
Sources in Ghor say that one year after the fall of the former republic, Shahbaz Khan’s son-in-law, Farooq, was also mysteriously killed. The perpetrators of that killing have yet to be identified.
