Afghanistan’s first modern women’s clothing design and manufacturing factory has officially begun operations after transferring equipment and machinery from Pakistan. Officials of the facility say that all stages of design and production are carried out داخل the country using advanced technologies and computerized systems.
According to the management, the primary objective of establishing the factory is to create employment opportunities for Afghan citizens and support domestic production. They emphasized that the use of modern equipment can contribute to the growth and development of Afghanistan’s garment industry.
Factory officials stated that it has been operating for about a year and that efforts have been made during this period to introduce products that reflect Afghanistan’s culture and traditions by incorporating local designs and cultural symbols.
They also called for greater facilitation in customs procedures, electricity supply, and administrative processes to help expand manufacturing activities and encourage further investment in the sector.
Meanwhile, Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, spokesperson for the Taliban government’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, said that certain facilities have been provided for investors and that the processes for obtaining investment licenses and importing raw materials have been simplified.
The launch of the factory comes at a time when, alongside the return of a number of Afghan migrants from Pakistan, some businesspeople have also transferred their investments back to Afghanistan and invested in various sectors of the country’s economy.
