Security forces for Hajj in Saudi Arabia have arrested five Afghan citizens for attempting to enter the city of Mecca illegally without obtaining Hajj permits.
The newspaper Saudi Gazette reported on Friday morning, 18th of Sawr, that these individuals intended to enter Mecca on foot via desert routes.
According to the report, the Afghan citizens were arrested on charges of violating regulations and guidelines related to Hajj, and legal proceedings against them have been initiated.
Saudi Arabia’s public security forces have urged residents and pilgrims to comply with the laws related to Hajj ceremonies and to report any violations to the responsible authorities.
Every year, Saudi Arabia enforces special restrictions and regulations for managing Hajj, and individuals who enter Mecca without permits face legal consequences.
