Former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani extended Eid al-Adha greetings to the people of Afghanistan and Muslims around the world, and called on his fellow citizens to engage in national dialogue and mutual understanding for the future of the country, national unity, and the establishment of a legitimate system.
In his message, he described the current situation in Afghanistan as concerning, stating that the country is facing economic challenges, climate change, hunger, and international isolation. He also criticized the restrictions on girls’ education and women’s rights, emphasizing that no nation can progress without the participation of women.
Referring to recent regional developments, Ashraf Ghani said that Afghanistan plays an important role in regional stability and should move toward national consensus, peace, and an economy-centered policy. He also stressed that no disagreement should lead to violence and war among Afghans.
