Taliban officials in Kandahar province say that they have provided cash assistance to the families of 47 Taliban suicide attackers in the districts of Maiwand, Zheri, Panjwai, and Spin Boldak.
According to them, these aid payments were made through special programs, but no details have been given regarding the amount or total value of the assistance.
These suicide attackers were used by the Taliban against the government during the previous republican regime, and their victims were mostly civilians.
So far, no official response regarding this aid has been issued by human rights organizations or other relevant institutions.
