Amid the ongoing military clashes between Iran and the United States, Iranian media have reported that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched missile attacks against U.S. military facilities in Jordan. According to the reports, the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan was also targeted, while warning sirens were sounded in some parts of the country.
The IRGC said the attacks were carried out in response to recent U.S. strikes. Meanwhile, U.S. officials said there have so far been no reports of American military casualties resulting from the Iranian attacks on U.S. facilities in Jordan.
Meanwhile, Iranian officials say that a residential house in the Koohestanak area of Sirik County in Hormozgan Province was hit in U.S. strikes while a wedding ceremony was taking place there. Ahmad Nafisi, deputy governor of Hormozgan Province for security affairs, said at least two people were killed and many others were injured in the incident.
The Iranian Red Crescent later reported that the death toll from the attack had risen to four, with more than 50 people injured.
