Local sources in the western part of Kabul city say that the construction of the Naqash–Shahrak-e Omid-e Sabz road project has not made significant progress after nine months.
These sources stated on Tuesday, 22 Sawr, that the project’s completion period was set for 14 months, but after nine months, the earthwork has still not been completed.
According to the sources, the construction work on this road has completely stopped since the beginning of the year 1405 in the Solar Hijri calendar.
The sources added that during this time, the Taliban have been unable to complete the construction of a three-kilometer road.
Local residents face many problems due to the slow progress of this road project, but the Taliban have paid no attention to the issue.
The Taliban have destroyed roads in various parts of Kabul city, but the process of rebuilding them is proceeding very slowly.
