The media office of the Taliban governor in Herat has announced that more than 1,000 hectares of modern commercial orchards have been established in the province.
According to the office, these orchards have been developed over recent years as part of efforts to modernize agriculture and expand commercial farming.
Officials added that during the same period, local farmers’ interest in establishing modern orchards has increased significantly, leading to higher levels of investment in the fruit-growing and horticulture sectors.
Agriculture officials in Herat expressed hope that this trend will contribute to increased agricultural production, the creation of employment opportunities, and the strengthening of the local economy.
