Rahmatullah Nabil, the past head of Afghanistan’s National Security Directorate, has responded to the statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump, stating that no force can destroy civilizations.
Nabil said that civilizations are not destroyed by force and war, but rather grow in the hearts of people, through culture, history, thoughts, and values. He added that history has shown that no power has been able to destroy Iran’s powerful civilizations; instead, they either disappeared or were absorbed into the very civilizations themselves.
He emphasized that bombs and military powers may cause physical damage, but no power can destroy a nation’s cultural and historical identity. Nabil directly told Trump, “Mr. President, the reality is that you are dealing with a temporary and transient regime, but are you willing to confront the historical civilization that currently exists?”
He also pointed out that current political systems are temporary and will eventually change, but civilizations remain in the minds and hearts of people and will continue.
