The armed “Resistance Front” against the Taliban has claimed that three Taliban members were killed or wounded in an attack on the center of Fering District in Baghlan province.
In a statement issued on Monday, August 17, the front said its forces carried out an “offensive operation” against the Fering district center the previous night, killing one Taliban member and injuring two others.
The front also claimed that its forces seized a Taliban weapon during the operation.
The Resistance Front says its forces are conducting “targeted attacks” against the Taliban in various parts of Afghanistan. According to the group, its objective is to liberate the people and the country from what it describes as “illegitimate rule.”
The Taliban have not yet issued an official response to the claim, and independent sources have not released any information confirming the reported casualties.
