Local sources in Nangarhar Province say that the body of a schoolteacher has been found in the Rodat district of the province.
A source, who requested anonymity, told the media that the body of the teacher, identified as “Wahidullah,” was discovered on Monday evening, June 1, in agricultural fields in the village of Bar, located in Rodat district.
According to the source, Wahidullah was working as a teacher at a government school and had been missing for the past two days.
Local Taliban authorities in Nangarhar have not yet commented on the circumstances of the incident or any possible motive.
The cause of the teacher’s death remains unclear, but local sources suspect that he may have been killed.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
