Sources in Nuristan say that a resident of the provincial capital was killed after being shot by a tourist.
According to the sources, the incident occurred this afternoon (Saturday, May 30) in the Ishtawi area of Parun, the capital of Nuristan Province.
The sources did not provide details about how the incident occurred, but said that the victim was watering the lawn in front of his house when he was struck by a bullet fired by a tourist.
Meanwhile, another source said that the tourist was firing shots into the air when one of the bullets hit a local resident of Nuristan, killing him.
So far, the Taliban’s local security officials in Nuristan have not commented on the incident.
