The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced that in the war between Russia and Ukraine, a three-day ceasefire will be in effect from May 9 to May 11.
Trump wrote on his “Truth Social” page that during this period, all military attacks and combat activities will be halted. He added that both countries will also carry out a rapid exchange of prisoners within the same timeframe.
According to him, this short-term ceasefire is considered an important step toward reducing violence and achieving a possible political understanding. So far, Russia and Ukraine have not officially responded to this announcement.
