The 19th Afghanistan National Bodybuilding and Fitness Team Selection Championships concluded at the 500-seat Gymnasium of the National Sports Authority, bringing together 209 athletes from 21 provinces, including Kabul. At the end of the competition, 110 athletes were selected to join the country’s national teams.
The championships featured bodybuilding and fitness events across multiple weight and height categories. Following the competition, 60 athletes were selected for the national fitness team, while 50 athletes earned places on the national bodybuilding team.
In the individual competitions, Golajan of Kabul claimed the prestigious title of “Mr. Afghanistan” and was crowned the 1405 (2026–2027) Heavyweight Bodybuilding Champion. Murid Sarwari of Kabul secured first place in the Lightweight Bodybuilding division, while Mobariz Laghmani of Laghman Province won the Masters category.
In the team standings, Kabul captured the championship title, Herat finished as runner-up, and Balkh secured third place. The event concluded with the presentation of championship trophies, medals, and certificates of recognition to the top-performing athletes.
