Sources in Sar-e Pol city report that a local Taliban intelligence director and a soldier from the 209th Corps were killed in an armed attack.
According to the sources, the attack took place this morning, Tuesday, in the outskirts of Sar-e Pol city.
Information indicates that the victims were Maulvi Amrullah Sultani, director of Unit "08" of Taliban intelligence in Sar-e Pol, and Baz Mohammad, a soldier belonging to the 209th Corps.
No armed group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, and the Taliban have not officially commented on the incident. Further details regarding the nature and motive behind the attack have not been released.
