Samiullah, an Afghan martial artist, advanced to the final match of the Asian Championships in Uzbekistan with an impressive performance, securing at least a silver medal for Afghanistan.
On Saturday afternoon, he competed against a Mongolian opponent in the under-65 kg category and managed to defeat him in the second round, earning a place in the final.
Earlier in the tournament, Samiullah had also delivered a strong performance against the Chinese representative, and by continuing this successful run, he achieved one of the best results for the Afghan delegation in the competition.
With the Afghan athlete reaching the final, a silver medal for Afghanistan has now been guaranteed. He will now compete for the gold medal in the championship match against his final opponent.
