Omid Sahak, Afghanistan’s national taekwondo athlete in the men’s -87kg category, has advanced to the quarterfinals of the World Taekwondo Federation President’s Cup after defeating his Pakistani opponent by technical knockout in the opening seconds of the first round.
With the victory, Sahak secured his place in the quarterfinal stage, where he will face a representative of Iran.
The World Taekwondo Federation President’s Cup is being held in Lahore, Pakistan. Sahak’s win in his opening bout has placed him among the top eight athletes in the men’s -87kg category.
