Local sources in Panjshir Province say that Abdul Malik, an employee of the Development Department of the Ministry of Higher Education, was arrested four days ago by Taliban intelligence forces.
According to the sources, Abdul Malik was detained in the Abdullahkhel area of Dara district in Panjshir Province and subsequently transferred to Directorate 40 of Taliban intelligence in Kabul.
Relatives of Abdul Malik say that, so far, none of his family members or close relatives have been allowed to visit or contact him, and there is no information available regarding his condition.
The reason for the arrest of this Ministry of Higher Education employee remains unclear. However, his relatives emphasize that Abdul Malik had no ties to opposition groups against the Taliban and was arrested without any announced charges or clear explanation.
The Taliban have not yet issued any official comment regarding this report or the reason for Abdul Malik’s arrest.
