Fatima Jafari, an Afghan female boxer, won her second championship belt for Afghanistan at the international boxing competition “Peace for Balochistan.” She had previously won a championship belt in Quetta, Pakistan, and this time she managed to repeat the achievement.
Fatima Jafari was scheduled to face a Pakistani opponent in the final match; however, the bout did not take place because the Pakistani athlete did not show up, and the referees awarded the victory to the Afghan boxer. As a result, the championship belt of this competition was awarded to Fatima Jafari.
According to reports, Fatima Jafari’s Pakistani opponent was present at the weigh-in and arrived at the venue on the day of the competition but refused to enter the ring.
Fatima Jafari trains at the Fajr Boxing Academy under the supervision of Bismillah Nasih, one of Afghanistan’s well-known boxing coaches. So far, she has won all three of her professional fights and has earned two championship belts.
