A traffic accident in Badakhshan claimed the life of one person and left two others injured.

The Taliban’s police headquarters in Badakhshan states that as a result of a traffic accident in this province, at least one person has lost their life and two others have been injured.

The headquarters, in a statement, said that the accident occurred yesterday (Tuesday, 11th of Hamal) in the village of “Sari Awash” in the Yamkan district.

The Taliban police headquarters in Badakhshan did not explain the cause of the accident and has not provided further details about it.

Traffic accidents in Afghanistan usually claim the lives of hundreds of people and leave hundreds more injured.

The main causes of these accidents are said to be drivers’ negligence, poor road conditions, and the lack of traffic signs.
