The Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Mullah Hidayatullah Badri, has announced that a contract for the extraction of the “Namaksar” mine in the Ghoryan district of Herat province has been signed with a private company. According to the ministry’s report, the value of this contract is estimated at 5 million and 342 thousand US dollars.

Based on available information, the company will continue the extraction of the Namaksar mine for a specified period, and it is expected that this project will create job opportunities and promote economic development in the region. Officials say that the legal extraction of natural resources in this way can help increase the country’s revenues and make optimal use of existing resources.
