Former President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, has praised Zakiya Khodadadi, the Afghan para taekwondo athlete, for her victory at the 2026 European Para Taekwondo Championships and for winning the gold medal, and he has congratulated her.
In his message, Karzai stated that Khodadadi’s recent success is a source of happiness and pride for Afghans, and he expressed hope that she will achieve even more in future international competitions.
Zakiya Khodadadi defeated her Turkish opponent in the final match of the competition, which was held in Munich, Germany, and secured the gold medal.
She participated in these competitions representing France. Khodadadi had previously won the gold medal at the 2023 European Para Taekwondo Championships.
