Summary

The Minister of Information and Culture of the Taliban, Sheikh Sher Ahmad Haqqani, in response to recent Pakistani attacks, stated that the Taliban are not afraid of bombings or military pressure. According to him, they have previously fought a power that was far more equipped than Pakistan in terms of advanced weaponry and modern technology.

Haqqani made these remarks in Kapisa province during a seminar aimed at enhancing the intellectual, ideological, and professional capacity of journalists. He said that those who, in his words, killed children in their sleep during the bombings should understand that the Taliban neither fear airstrikes nor accept defeat.

According to him, the experience of past wars shows that military pressure cannot change their position, and the Taliban will continue their efforts to achieve their objectives.

These remarks come as the Taliban Ministry of Defense has claimed that it carried out drone strikes last night on ISIS centers in parts of Pakistan’s Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. Pakistan has not yet issued an official response to these claims.
