The International Committee of the Red Cross has announced that it has sent humanitarian aid to thousands of families in the Kamdesh district of Nuristan province, Afghanistan, who have been affected by recent clashes between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
According to the organization, approximately 17,000 families have benefited from the aid programs. The assistance was delivered to the area after several weeks of continuous efforts.
Additionally, the Red Cross stated that this process was carried out in collaboration with the United Nations World Food Program to ensure timely access to those in need.
Kamdesh, which is considered one of the unstable areas of Nuristan, has recently faced humanitarian challenges due to border tensions, and relief organizations are working to address the urgent needs of the people.
