Ahmadullah Wasiq, head of the Olympic, physical training, and sports authority under the Taliban, has stated that Afghanistan’s national futsal team has risen seven places in the latest ranking by the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), achieving 21st place in the world.
He said that this progress is the result of the team’s recent victories and strong performances. According to him, Afghan players have demonstrated remarkable abilities in international competitions and have managed to further improve their position in the global rankings.
This advancement of the national futsal team comes at a time when Afghan teams have achieved notable successes in Asian and international competitions in recent years.
