Local sources in Badakhshan Province say that the library of Ziraki High School in Raghistan District has been completely destroyed in a fire, with all of its resources and facilities lost.
According to the sources, the fire destroyed all books, educational materials, and teaching equipment housed in the library. While the exact number of books and items lost has not yet been determined, local residents describe the incident as a serious setback for education in the district.
The sources added that the destruction of the library has deprived students at Ziraki High School of a vital educational resource, a development that is expected to have a negative impact on their learning.
Raghistan District is one of the remote areas of Badakhshan Province and has long faced shortages of educational facilities, textbooks, and adequate school infrastructure. The complete destruction of the school’s library has therefore heightened concerns about students’ access to learning resources and the overall quality of education in the district.
