Republican U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham has warned that if Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Pakistan refuse to join the Abraham Accords, “it will have serious consequences for our future relations, and this peace proposal will not be acceptable.”
Speaking to the media on X, Graham said: “If, as a result of these negotiations aimed at ending the conflict with Iran, our Arab and Muslim allies in the region become ready to join the Abraham Accords, this agreement would become one of the most important accords in the history of the Middle East.”
He added: “The inclusion of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Pakistan in the Abraham Accords would create a profound transformation for the region and the world. This is a very smart move by President Donald Trump.”
Referring to Saudi Arabia and other countries, Senator Graham said: “Now is the time to take a bold step for the future of a new Middle East. I hope that, as President Trump has proposed, you will truly become part of the Abraham Accords and effectively bring the Arab-Israeli conflict to an end.”
He also warned: “If you refuse to accept this path, it will have serious consequences for our future relations, and this peace proposal will not be acceptable. Moreover, history will regard it as a major political mistake.”
Addressing President Trump, while emphasizing the need to remain firm in achieving a good deal with Iran, he said: “It is also important to insist that Saudi Arabia and other countries must become part of the Abraham Accords.”
