Malik Setiz, a political analyst, has strongly criticized Ashraf Ghani, saying that the Taliban today are benefiting from decisions that led to the collapse of the Republic and the current crisis in Afghanistan.
In a post on X, Setiz wrote that instead of leaving the country and seeking refuge abroad, Ashraf Ghani should have fulfilled his promise to go to Logar and write a book.
He emphasized that the Taliban owe the destruction of the Republic, the deaths of thousands of soldiers, and the loss of the future of millions of Afghan women and girls to Ashraf Ghani.
The political analyst also stated that the decisions and actions of the former government’s leadership paved the way for the collapse of the system and the Taliban’s return to power, an issue that continues to draw widespread criticism and reactions.
Following the fall of Kabul in 2021, criticism of Ashraf Ghani’s role has persisted, with a number of critics considering him one of the main factors behind the political crisis and the collapse of the former government.
