According to a statement from the senator’s office, Lindsey Graham passed away on Saturday evening at the age of 71 following a “brief and sudden illness.” Despite the release of this statement, the exact cause of his death has not yet been officially disclosed.
Meanwhile, several U.S. media reports have stated that emergency responders were dispatched to the senator’s residence after receiving an emergency call regarding a possible heart attack. These reports have suggested that his death may have resulted from a heart attack; however, this has not yet been confirmed by official authorities.
Reports also indicate that the FBI became involved to review the circumstances surrounding the incident and to assist local officials. So far, no evidence of criminal activity or suspicious involvement in the senator’s death has been made public, and U.S. authorities have not provided further details about the matter.
