Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, said in his third audio message that the “overt and covert movements of the enemy” show that pressure against Iran is not limited to the economic and political spheres, and that the possibility of military action still exists.
He stated that the opposing sides “have not abandoned their military objectives” and are seeking to begin “a new round of war and adventurism.”Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf anlso emphasized that Iran’s military structure has rebuilt its operational capabilities during the one-month ceasefire period.
At the same time, Mohsin Naqvi has arrived in Tehran for the second time in less than a week. Reports indicate that the purpose of the visit is to help revive negotiations between Iran and the United States.
In another development, the naval force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced in a statement that it had escorted 26 oil tankers and commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz during the past 24 hours.
The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the world’s most important energy transit routes, and any tension or security-related developments in the area draw widespread attention from global markets and regional countries.
