Reuters, citing a Pakistani source, reported that Islamabad has shared the Islamic Republic’s revised proposal with the United States. Responding to a question about how much time would be needed to resolve the differences, the source said: “We do not have much time. The two countries are constantly changing their red lines.”
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump warned on the social media platform Truth Social that “time is running out quickly for Iran,” adding that if Tehran does not act immediately, “there will be nothing left for it.”
At the same time, American media reported that Trump is expected to hold a meeting with members of his security team and cabinet in the White House “Situation Room.”
The White House Situation Room is usually used during sensitive security situations, crisis management, military operations, or when making major national security decisions.
Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic, reacted on Sunday to the U.S. president’s remarks, saying that if Trump’s threats are carried out, the United States “will face new, aggressive, and surprising scenarios and will sink into a self-made quagmire.”
