According to Khalid Zadran, Haqqani said that Zadran’s death following a battle with cancer had saddened many Afghans.

According to Khalid Zadran, Zadran’s funeral and condolence ceremonies were held in an orderly and secure atmosphere, with the participation of tens of thousands of people. Several members of the Afghanistan national cricket team, sports figures, and cricket enthusiasts also attended the ceremonies.

Shapoor Zadran passed away in India several days earlier after battling cancer. His remains were later transferred to Kabul, where he was laid to rest at Maranjan Hill. Following his death, numerous cricket fans, sports enthusiasts, and public figures also expressed their condolences and paid tribute to his legacy.
